
Forrest Yoga Intention
Forrest Yoga is a modern yoga system that addresses the needs and ailments of our people today. Forrest Yoga encorages you to actively participate in your own processes in healing on and off the mat. Not just think of philosophize about it. We ask you to bring the highest quality of attention to what your feeling in every breathe, every pose and every drop of sweat through our specific teaching and emphasis on breathing, this practice empowers you with effective tools to free you from your addictions and habitual behaviors. When addictions and habitual behaviors show up in your poses, they usually show up in the rest of your life as well.
You will also learn how to locate where your emotional and physical pain resides in your body, so that you can breathe and feel deeply into the specific places and clear out the pain to make space for your spirit. In Forrest Yoga, obtaining your Spirit isn't transcendence. We literally want you to embody your Spirit!
Forrest Yoga is a healing style of yoga; perfect for individuals with injuries or arthritis, high stress, chronic pain or stiffness, or body tightness related to aging. It also complements athletic training and sports performance, as it promotes flexibility, endurance, and increased range of motion. Forrest Yoga is practiced in an environment heated to 85 degrees. If you are just beginning yoga, you will learn to breathe deeply and connect with your ability to feel your body. As you get deeper into practicing yoga, you will get more proficient at safely tailoring each pose to work best for you, especially if you have injuries. Forrest Yoga does not require strength or flexibility. It only requires that you bring a willingness to learn how to feel authentically and respond honestly.
