The four pillars of Forrest Yoga are BREATH, STRENGTH, INTEGRITY and SPIRIT. This kind of yoga increases energy, flexibility, balance, and strength, while helping to heal the body of injuries and pain. The focus on breath relaxes the nervous system and allows the body to go deeper into the poses. Because it is so versatile, this type of yoga is suitable for all fitness levels: the athlete looking to enhance performance; the older individual looking for increased flexibility, improved health and joint mobility; women looking for more upper-body strength and men looking for more flexibility; as well as anyone looking for an exercise program to complement their current fitness activity or sport. This yoga is practiced in a heated environment.
No previous yoga experience is necessary.
Practicing yoga at least 3-4 times a week also helps boosts metabolism, which assists with weight management. If you suffer from any form of addiction, Yoga is a great aid to recovery. Student Testimonial
"About 5 years ago, I began taking yoga classes at a local gym. Then last year Gary became the new teacher of the class. I can't begin to describe the transformative change he has encouraged in me. Yoga has become an integral part of my life now. Gary effectively communicates the importance of deep breathing and combines this with challenging physical postures that have dramatically improved my strength, endurance, balance and flexibility. I have him to thank for my enthusiasm and willingness to further explore my practice. Gary is a truly gifted and dedicated teacher and mentor."
